DESCRIPTION:Watch the first group of semi-finalists in the Northern Aldborough Festival Vocal Competition battle it out in front of a prestigious panel for a place in the Grand Final. \nWelcome to the exciting launch of a brand-new annual vocal competition of national significance. From its inception\, The Northern Aldborough Festival has striven to support and nurture young musical talent and now\, with the generous support of sponsors\, the Festival is able to launch a competition like no other. \nNew Voices aims to find the finest classical voices in the UK today\, whether soloists or small ensembles\, aged between 21 and 32. Open to new up-and-coming talent\, the top prize is £5000\, with £1500 for the runner-up and £500 for the winner of the Audience Prize\, with a network of partner festivals across the UK creating valuable concert opportunities for the finalists. DESCRIPTION:The YMFF\, Ampleforth Abbey and Ampleforth College are working together to create a wonderful evening of music to help raise funds for the humanitarian work that is ongoing in Ukraine. \nPlease join us for the uplifting voices of\nAmpleforth Schola Cantorum and Ampleforth Orthodox Choir\nsinging part of the glorious Orthodox Liturgy\non Friday\, 21st April 2023 in Ampleforth Abbey\n7pm for an hour \nAll proceeds from ticket sales will go to CAFOD to support their work responding to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.  \nThis concert was originally due to take place last November but\, due to storms\, we have rescheduled the evening to 21st April 20
